Constitutional Framework

The Ministry of petroleum, Electricity and executing Industrial projects was found in Syrian Arab Republic according to legislative decree No 139.
Its name was changed by legislative decree No. 121 dated 18.5.1970 to be “ The Ministry of petroleum, electricity and Mineral Resources.
A new Ministry was established for electricity, then, the name of the Ministry of petroleum, electricity, and Mineral Resources was changed to be “ the Ministry of petroleum and Mineral resources “ by legislative decree No 94 dated 23.9.1974.
