The Audit Bureau was constitutionally established as the supreme audit authority in 1952. Under the Constitution of H.K.J, an Audit Bureau Law was founded pursuant to Article (119) that reads as follows: -
“An Auditing Office shall be set up by low for controlling state revenues and its expenses and the manner of expenditures:
1- The Audit Office shall submit a general report to the parliament exhibiting its observations and a description of violations committed and the consequent responsibilities thereon at the beginning of the ordinary session of the Parliament or when requested by it.
2- The Law shall provide for the immunity of the president of the Audit Office”.
