The Legal Affairs Section of the Chamber helps to maintain law and order in all commercial activities in the state. It offers legal advice to representatives of the private sector; together with officials from competent authorities it studies and implements economic laws and regulations which define the functions of industrial, commercial and professional activities both locally and in the Federal State.
Moreover, it promotes legal awareness by explaining different legal aspects relating to commercial transactions whether between local businessmen or between them and their foreign counterparts.
The Chamber, through its Arbitration and Commercial Practice Committee, resolves commercial disputes, approves arbitration deeds, nominates experts and specialists to make a study of commercial and industrial matters and makes a cheek on goods and provides reports on it.
