General Description
Aims and tasks of the Association:
1/ Upgrading the standard of the profession, its protection, defence and organisation.
2/ Cooperating with the Ministry of Health and all the institutions and organizations concerned with raising the health level.
3/Keeping the doctors united and safeguarding their rights and dignity.
4/Observing the professional code of ethics.
5/Securing a decent life for doctors and their families in case of disability, old age or death.
6/ Providing professional work for the members, organizing cooperation in practising the profession and providing medical aid to the needy.
7/Enforcing links with Jordanian dentists outside the country and with Arab and foreign oral medicine and dentistry associations and society.
History
The association was officially founded in the year 1952.
Constitutional Framework
The association function in accordance with the Dental Association Law N° 17 for the year 1972 and the amending Law N° 15 for the year 1974 and the amending law N° 11 for the year 2001. The association′s executive power is appended to that of the Ministry of Health.
