The Centre is capable of carrying out applied scientific research which supports the advancement of national industry, as it′s main objective. The Centre undertakes studies, research work, tests and technical consultations in the various fields of applied industrial chemistry. During 1998, the centre conducted around (30,000) chemical and physical tests and implemented (5) research projects.
History
The Industrial Chemistry Centre (ICC) started its activities as a unit, then as a division of the Mechanical Design & Technology Centre in 1973. The Division began to grow responding to the needs of the public and private sectors and also to the needs of the local industry in Jordan.
On the 18th of September 1976, the Royal Scientific Society (RSS) decided to develop the Industrial Chemistry Division to a full Centre .
