The main goal of AERDRI is to develop the agricultural extension service, considered the cornerstone for promoting agricultural productivity. Research and services are aimed at developing human resources throughout Egypt. The main objectives involve the development of agricultural extension programs that are timely and meet the needs of a growing Egypt amidst a changing global environment
History
The Agricultural Extension and Rural Development Research Institute (AERDRI) was established in 1977. It evolved from the Extension Research Unit of the Agricultural Economics Research Institute.
