The Egyptian satellite company Nilesat was established in July 1996.
Nilesat 101 was launched on Arian 4 fro the French Guyana in April 1998.
Nilesat has two ground stations to control and fix the satellite in its orbital position:
The primary station: in 6th of October City.
The backup station: in El-Hammam City (Alexandria)
