The company was nationalized in 1961. It is considered as one of the leading companies in the domain of the packaging and wrapping industries in the Arab Republic of Egypt which is due to the availability of the efficient productive labor force and production capacity which led to the possibility of increasing the production and improving the quality to meet the demand of the consumers and availing the carton packaging for the agricultural, textile, alimentary, electronic, engineering and medical products. It owns two factories in Alexandria (Bakous Area) one for producing the printing papers, aluminium, cellophane, polypropylene and polyethylene for the packing of fertilizers, food commodities and others where the other factory is for the production of carton production as well as transportation tickets and commercial printouts and a factory in Kafr El Zayat for the production of carton boxes especially for exporting purposes.
