The company was established in the year 1947 and was nationalized in 1961. The company′s activities include spinning, weaving, dying and finishing cotton raw materials, underwear, cotton cloth and ready made garments. Export ability reached LE 16 million in the year 1995/96. The total production capacity is LE121 million. The total number of employees is 6125 employee. The company imports some of spare parts, chemicals and paints, machines, some nylon threads. It exports all kinds of under wear to Germany and United Kingdom, T-shirts to Germany, UK, and France.
