History
The Sharjah City for Humanitarian
Services (SCHS) is a local Charity
founded in 1979 as a branch of the Arab
Family Organisation in the Gulf region. In 1995 the city became an independent charity for the care of the handicapped with the capacity to conduct all legal procedures necessary to fulfill its aims and objectives and to enjoy financial and administrative independence.
Constitutional Framework
SCHS was established by decree number 6/1981, issued on 11th March 1981, by the Government of Sharjah
Mode of Finance
Modes of Finance:
. Fixed Government donations, aid and grants
2. Earnings from endowments (a residential building and shops)
3. Nominal school fees
4. Donations from individuals, companies and institutions
5. Earnings from fundraising events and projects undertaken by
the SCHS.
