Dubai Customs, Dubai Ports Authority and Jebel Ali Free Zone have been merged into one authority the Public Corp for Ports, Customs and Free Zone.
Constitutional Framework
The establishment of the corporation was stipulated by Law no 1/2001 issued by the Ruler of Dubai.
Mode of Finance
The new corporation has financial and administrative independence and is run on commercial basis.
