Food Control Section′s job is to:
- Undertake programmed inspection of all premises engaged in the manufacture, preparation, sale, and storage of food items;
- Undertake programmed inspection of hotels, restaurants, cafes and supermarkets;
- Systematically monitor and sample all food imports and exports at both sea and air ports;
- Undertake effective inspection of foodstuff consignment and issue food export or fitness certificates;
- Formulate and execute training and education programmes for all employees in the food industry to improve hygiene standards.
