The Statistics Section carries out a number of key activities, namely:

1- To gather, classify, and display statistical data covering all the economic and social activities and sectors and publishes the same in statistic books and bulletins.
- To conduct field surveys:
The Section conducts several field surveys to gather detailed economic, and social data about the various sectors in the Emirate

3- To prepare analytical studies:
The section carries out several analytical studies for the most significant economic and social phenomena in the Emirate and proliferous research published in the Department’s literature and in various scientific magazines.

4- To map out a global concept for the set-up of an integrated information system based on state-of-the-art softwares, and a structure for a future internal and external information network in the future, in order to exchange information, and service the beneficiaries online.
