The Committee is in charge of the following:

1 - The Classification of the Contractors according to the applicable regulations and basis defined in the Regulation No. 4/1980, in order to avoid the troubles that could arise from the selection of unqualified Contractors to execute government projects.

2 - To put up the regulations, specimen, and administrative resolutions of the required classification operation.

3 - To register, study and evaluate the consultants operating in the Emirate.

4 - To follow-up the architecture and civilization progress and development, through the consultants work in the Emirate.

5 - To follow-up with the consultants and maintain permanent and updated data.

6 - To provide the different government departments with the data and names of the consultants specialized in the various disciplines and fields according to the type of projects declared by the government departments.

7 - To give opinion and consultation to the Public Projects Committee and various departments when selecting the Emirate’s projects.

8 - To participate in drafting out the lists for the names of the consultants nominated to the Executive Council for approval.
