The mission of the computer science program is to produce individuals who are highly effective and productive in the vastly expanding field of information technology.
The B. S. in Computer Science prepares the students to work as operating system designers, system programmers and experts in artificial intelligence. They also learn to design and implement systems and application of software projects. Careers in Computer Science may therefore include positions as artificial intelligence specialists, database specialists, software engineers, system analysts, numerical analysts, and theory of computation specialists. .
