It is the objective of the electrical engineering department to educate future professionals in electrical engineering, with a program characterized by curricular flexibility, student project work, and active involvement of students in their learning. A balanced, integrated curriculum provides an EE education that is strong both in the fundamentals and in state-of-the-art evolving technical knowledge, appropriate for immediate professional practice as well as a graduate study and lifelong learning. The EE curriculum embraces UAE′s philosophy of education that comprises the following:
1. Preparing electrical engineers who possess the ability to communicate effectively, work in teams, understand the broad implications of their work, and observe Islamic and Engineering ethics.
2. Enhancing knowledge and profession of electrical engineers at the UAE through an aggressive continuing education program that offers training workshops and seminars.
3. Supporting research that serves the UAE industry needs in particular and to the Gulf area in general.
4. Offering technical consultation to different organizations in the UAE.
