Saudi Aramco holds the principal working concessions in Saudi Arabia. It operates five wholly-owned refineries (at Jeddah, Rabigh, Ras Tanura, Riyadh and Yanbu) with total capacity of more than 1m. barrels per day.
History
Founded in 1933, it was previously known as Arabian-American Oil Co (Aramco). in 1993, it incorporated the Saudi Arabian Marketing and Refining Co (SAMAREK) by merger of operations.
